American Wheat Ale with Grapefruit Simplicity is a conjured demon, yearning for flesh. And as I strike at it I fall. Wounded again by its bitter blade. And there I lay, with nothing to hold. This American wheat ale is a simple blend of pale wheat and barley with a generous handful of Citra and Grungiest hops, whirlpooled with lemongrass and fermented with our house ale yeast. We conditioned this base on the zest of freshly ripe Florida grapefruit to provide a midwinter’s refresher of crackly sourdough bread, soft spring herbs, and a generous glass of grapefruit Squirt.
